Tour Overview

Power up your Klein Curacao Day Trip with the Powerboat!

Our powerboat sits low in the water and we cruise at highs speeds thanks to our 600 HP engines. Traveling this fast makes seasickness almost impossible.

Because of our higher speed, we can leave a little later in the morning. We try to sail out around 10.00. A long evening the previous day is no problem.

How fast we are able to get to Klein Curacao with the powerboats depends on the sea. Normally the trip to Klein Curacao takes between 25 and 55 minutes. On the way back the sea is always quieter and we arrive after about 25-30 minutes.

Once on Klein Curacao you will experience a piece of paradise on earth.

We took the Klein Curacao tour with Stijn in middle of February. Captain Stijn was awesome, he was very entertaining as well as a class act operator. You will never feel anxious or apprehensive in any way while on his tour. The reason we opted for the powerboat tour vs slow and relaxed catamaran or other tours was mainly due to the fact that our whole party is prone to sea sickness. Rest assured, taking the powerboat ride, you will not be sea-sick, it’s very exhilarating and a blast, especially if you have no sea legs! The sea was rough the day we went but Stijn rode it out very well. My lower back is not the greatest but I fared out well, no issues. If you have serious back issues, you will likely find it uncomfortable. (they state this prior to boarding) We were less than 40 minutes to get there and a little less coming back, we stayed on the island for 3 or 4 hours which is more than adequate. You will have a palapa for you and your shipmates while on the island, Stijn will have a cooler with water and sodas, we brought our own wobbly pops. Do check out the shipwreck and lighthouse, the lighthouse was under re-construction while we were there, do not cross the caution tape to enter the lighthouse, the floors are all tore up and it could be dangerous (the view from atop the lighthouse was really cool by the way!)
On the way back we pulled into a bay by Pop’s Place restaurant and helped rescue a sea turtle that was caught up in a fisherman’s line. I have it on video and will post soon.
All in all, everyone in our party agreed Klein Curacao and Powerboat Caribbean is a must do while visiting curacao. Cheers Stijn!

This was a great day and after a lot of research I cannot be happier with our decision to go with the powerboat trip to Klein Curacao. It was pretty windy during our trip and the water was far from calm…about 5 foot waves the whole way. I can’t say it was a smooth trip, but Irvin managed it with skill, going in and out of the waves as much as possible and making sure everyone on the boat had a chance to get comfortable with riding the waves early on. No one on board got sick, so if that’s your concern this is absolutely the way to go. Beyond that, the ride was a blast and so much faster of a trip to and from the island. We didn’t have to be at the boat until 10am and my boyfriend and I were much more excited about that than the early morning departures of the other boats we looked at. My boyfriend is all for adventure, I’m much more cautious and we both had a blast. There is no food served on the boat and no real cover on the boat, but we brought some PB&J and snacks, they had sodas and waters in a cooler for us all, and we could get a little shade under some of the huts on the island. We just prepared for it and brought plenty of sunscreen. All in all, it was a great day and I would highly recommend this route for Klein Curacao.

We’ve booked several trips with Powerboat Caribbean. I recommend the Klein Curaçao and the Westpunt trip because the nature is beautiful. The boat is really fast and the crew is kind! They make sure that everyone on the boat is enjoying themselves.

I highly recommend this tour to thrill seekers looking to see curaçao in a different way. We reserved this tour really late the night before and tamara was super helpful in making that happen. I usually suffer from sea sickness so i was afraid of going on the tour but this boat goes so fast theres no time to feel seasick. We went during rough seas and got to Klein Island in about 45 minutes, felt like a roller coaster, very fun!

Tamaras boyfriend was operating the boat and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He spoke english very well and helped us in finding sea turtles while snorkeling. Obviously bring some food as there is none for sale on the island since it is uninhabited. I highly recommend this tour for the more adventurous souls.

On way to klein Curaçao but ocean realy did get to rough.
So captain Steyn decided to turn around as he was responsible for passengers and boat. ( Good decision and a nice guy! )
On way back he took us on a senic tour around coastline which was great too and even saw loads of dolphins which surounded the boat.
Afterall a great day lots of fun but do not forget to bring your suncream!!!
    We will come back again.

Honest review, my wife and I were on our honeymoon and wanted to enjoy the most of every minute. Hence, getting to Klien Curacao there is only ONE option, the Power Boat. My wife hates “frightening adventures” so she was skeptical of the ride. FEAR not, anyone who is concerned with the rough water, the Captain is AMAZING. Hits every wave or approaching wave with precision. My wife and I had an excellent ride. I also suffer from sea sickness by the rocking of larger boats and felt great on the power boat.

Choose them for two reasons: Amazing ride/Captain. 2. 30 MINUTE ride as oppose to about TWO hours at sea. One gets so much more time on the island to explore the ship wreck, Sea turtles, and tons of fish.

Book in advance and be prepared for an AMAZING TIME.

We took the Powerboat Caribbean excursion to Klein Curacao on April 18th, 2016. We chose this excursion over others as you don’t have to waste an entire day to visit Klein Curacao. We boarded the powerboat on Zanzibar beach in Jan Thel. Captain Stijn Stroeve is excellent, he gave everyone a thorough and facetious safety chat and we headed to Klein Curacao with an on time departure at 10:00. The owner of the company “Captain Ron” was visiting from the Netherlands and was at the controls. The boat is very fast, they adjust throttles accordingly and intelligently swerve between swells to keep the ride as smooth as possible. The boat was full, since it was my birthday, I was seated in the cockpit beside Captain Ron.

Klein Curacao is a mix of Caribbean ocean beauty and barren landscape. The beach side of the Island is very beautiful with plenty of colorful fish and a few turtles feeding on the bottom. The water is calm on the beach side. As you walk inland toward the haunted dilapidated lighthouse and to the opposite coast where the shipwreck of the Maria Bianca Guidesman is located, the land is barren and rugged. The ocean near the shipwreck is very rough, the waves are crashing heavy into the shoreline in this area. There are a few shaded huts on the Island, it gets very hot by early afternoon so make sure you use sunblock and pack a lunch. Bring lots of water or beer to keep hydrated.

I would definitely recommend Power-Boat Caribbean for your trip to Klein Curacao. You don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn while on vacation, the trip to the Island was 26 minutes and the return trip was 34 minutes, only because we toured around trying to find a dolphin that someone spotted. No one on this tour got sea sick. We passed the other tour operator that left 45 minutes before us on the way back to Curacao and we were back at our hotel to catch Happy Hour at 17:00.

I booked our excursion to Klein Curacao about a month in advance via email. Communication with this company was excellent. Captain Stijn Stroeve was very prompt with responses and answered all our questions about the excursion. He communicates with you using WHATTSAPP once you arrive on Curacao to avoid incurring high cell charges from your home country. We paid $89 US each, very good value for this great experience. Captain Stijn gave me some very good advice during the booking process; “If you are going to travel on the Power-Boat on your Birthday, don’t bring cake”!!!!!!

We went to Klein Curaçao with Powerboat Caribbean based on other TripAdvisor reviews and we were very happy we did that! For us, this was the best way to visit the small island of Klein Curaçao.
First, you don’t have to spend an entire day for this trip like the other boat companies offer. You leave at 10 am and you are back by 430 in time for dinner and a nice evening. It takes about 30 to 45mins there and about the same coming back, depending on the current. Definitely bring plenty of sunscreen and water, the sun is intense on the little island.
Second, the actual ride is SO MUCH FUN! Our captain’s name was Stijn and he was fantastic. He made the trip fun, but was also safe.
We highly recommend visiting Klein Curaçao with Powerboat Caribbean..best way to go!

My girlfriend and I had a blast. The captain was professional and made the trip a blast!! Definitely using this company again next time I go to Klein Korsow.

We went to Klein Curacao with Powerboat Carribean. And it was such a thrill!!! It was an amazing experience, riding the waves with exhilarating speed.
We arrived in no-time at Klein Curacao, where the snorkling possibilities are endless.
The crew is relaxt and fun, and gives safety a high priority.

Best way to go to Klein Curaçao (if you like speed and adrenaline). With 600 horsepower you’ll go to the island in half an hour.
Little adrenaline rush due the speed and high waves 🙂
This is the only boat where you won’t get seasick!
Only not recommended for people with back problems…

    Just 1 word….. ” AMAZING”
Went on a trip with Powerboat Caribbean with 7 other people on Saturday 25th of April to Klein Curacao.
Left at 10 a.m. and where there in 35 minutes with a pretty calm sea. Snorkeling…seeing stingrays and turtles and a lot of fish. Powerboat provided soft drinks and water. Left at around 3.30 p.m and where back in 25 minutes.
During the return Ron (the owner) gave us a rush with his boat 🙂
    What a day!!!
Thanks Ron and the crew, will be back.

This was the highlight of our trip to Curacao. I had previously looked into some of the other charter boats to Klein but really didn’t want to get up super early. I also heard there was an issue with sea sickness on the larger boats. This trip with Ron at Powerboat Caribbean solved all those problems!

We met Ron at 10 and were at Klein in less than an hour. Besides being a fast trip, it was so much fun! Once we got to Klein we had plenty of time to see the whole island, snorkel with sea turtles and relax. Ron never rushed us and was only ready to go when we were done. It was easy to tell Ron loved this island and his business, I learned so much about Curacao, and Klein.

The way back was quicker and only took 25 minutes. We passed both the larger charter boats half way back and they left an hour before us! On the calmer water Ron got to show us what the boat could really do and it was such a rush! This was the perfect trip and I couldn’t imagine anything better.
